Fairy Celebration and Butterfly Basics – Blinged Out
Have I mentioned how much I love the Fairy Celebration set? Well, I think you’ll be seeing it a lot, I really love it!! I think it pairs nicely with the Butterfly Basics set, another love of mine. I also love altering items, again I just used a simple pre-primed frame from my local craft store. I just stamped the butterfly and branches on Very Vanilla Cardstock and watercolored it in using an aqua painter and a bunch of different stamp pads. I think I’ve explained this before, but in case you don’t know: Squeeze the stamp pad prior to opening to get color on the inside lid. Then use an aqua painter (don’t squeeze the aqua painter unless it is completely dry – then squeeze into a paper towel and dry a bit prior to use), pick up color with the brush and test on scratch first to make sure you aren’t too wet or dry prior to using it on your project. Another love of mine is fussy cutting. It wasn’t the easiest cutting the flowers with all the leaves, but tiny scissors and patience are the key to making it work. I’m thinking of doing something similar for a class, that’s assuming everyone loves the Fairy Celebration set as much as I do.
