Bow Builder Punch

Bow Builder Punch

I’ve mentioned before that I could not tie a bow to save my life, well this is super simple and super cute and you can use any Designer Series Paper or Cardstock to make it match your project.  This bow is on one of our clear gift boxes.  I used paper on the inside and a stamped card on the top (also on the inside) and filled the box with kisses.  I’m going on a shop hop with a couple friends, we are hoping to visit 9 of the 10 stores participating in one day.  I think we’d attempt all 10, but one is over an hour from all the others, and that’s just a lot of drive time, so I think I’ll do that one on my own one day, just put the top down and drive out to the IE (that’s what all the newscasters call it, after Orange County came to be known as the OC, they decided that the Inland Empire - Riverside and San Bernadino Counties - would be known as the IE).  Anyway, back to the reason for the gift boxes, I thought it would be nice to give each store a thank you for participating.  I know it’s small, but when I check out, the person behind that counter that helps me, gets a little thank you.

More about the bow builder punch, it punches three items at once, one of the loops, one of the tails and the center strip.  You will punch all three items twice (you will have one center strip left over).  Then, using glue dots form each loop and then stick together in the middle.  Wrap the center strip around the middle and adhere with a glue dot, this hides that you’ve stuck too pieces together.  I then use a small strip of the Tear and Tape Adhesive on the back to stick the tails, then another strip of tape over that to adhere to the box.

I think if you just play with scratch paper a bit, you’ll figure it out in no time and love it as much as I do!!
