Painter's Palette Jazzed Up

Painter's Palette Jazzed Up

My computer keeps crashing, went to the Microsoft Store, they replaced it and it is still crashing, writing my posts have been challenging, but I keep typing on!!  My second card this week, uses the main stamp from the Painter’s Palette set, the easel.  There are so many possibilities with this stamp, I chose to fussy cut it for this card.  I have to admit, I’m a fan of fussy cutting, I find it relaxing.  That being said, I do plan on getting the Layering Squares Framelits when they become available on June 1st.  It wouldn’t have helped for this card, but it will for Friday’s card.

I used the following items available from my store at Stampin’ Up!:

  • Painter's Palette Stamp Set
  • Clear Blocks – E
  • Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Pad
  • Emerald Envy Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • Very Vanilla 8 ½ x 11 Cardstock
  • Playful Palette Designer Series Paper
  • Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker
  • Aqua Painter
  • Snail Adhesive
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals

Below are the instructions for this card:

  1. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock to 8 ½ x 5 ½ , score at 4 ¼ and fold.
  2. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 5 ½ x 2 ½, then cut off ½ from the long side and flip to show opposite side of paper.
  3. Adhere both pieces of DSP to left side of card.
  4. Stamp easel on piece of Very Vanilla and fussy cut around the outside.
  5. Using the Peekaboo Peach Stampin’ Write Marker, scribble inside easel.
  6. Squeeze the Emerald Envy Classic Stampin’ Pad prior to opening it to allow color to be on the lid.
  7. Using the Aqua Painter pick up color from lid, and tap Aqua Painter on your finger to splatter on the easel.  You may have to tap kind of hard, I prefer this technique to using your finger to pull back on the bristles of the brush.
  8. Stamp sentiment in center of easel.
  9. Adhere easel to center of card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used this card for a swap at an event, everyone loved it.  I was excited to share new product coming up from Stampin’ Up!  Friday’s card shows another piece of the DSP, the easel stamp cut differently, I bring back the twine from Monday’s card and add Washi Tape.  Can’t wait to share!!
