Sunburst Sayings Jazzed Up

With Father’s Day and graduations right around the corner, I figured everyone would be needing gift card holders.  I love the convenience of gift cards, and it really makes it a nicer gift when given in a handmade holder.  This one is super easy and everyone will love it!!

I used the following items available from my store at Stampin’ Up!:

• Clear Blocks – D
• Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad
• Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad
• Stampin’ Dimensionals
• Snail Adhesive
• Tear & Tape Adhesive
• Whisper White 8 ½ x 11 Thick Cardstock
• Calypso Coral 8 ½ x 11 Cardstock
• Pacific Point 8 ½ x 11 Cardstock
• Brights Designer Serious Paper Stack
• Rhinestone Basic Jewels
• Decorative Label Punch

Below are the instructions for this card:

1. Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock in half long way to make a piece 5 ½ x 11.
2. Score at 4 ¼ and 8 ½ .
3. Fold at the score lines.  Adhere smaller piece with Tear & Tape Adhesive on the edges to make pocket for your gift card.
4. For the outside of card, cut a piece of Pacific Point Cardstock 4 x 5 ¼, stamp background image on lower portion with Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad and adhere to card.
5. Cut a piece of Calypso Coral Cardstock 4 ½ x 1 ½ and notch out sides to make banner.  Adhere to center of card.
6. Cut a piece of Whisper White 3 x 1, stamp greeting in center using Calypso Coral, stamp polka dots on top and bottom with Pacific Point.
7. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add Rhinestones on either side of greeting.
8. Using the Decorative Label Punch, punch out a piece of Whisper White and the striped piece of Pacific Point from the Brights DSP pack.
9. Cut the edge of each label and layer and adhere to card using snail adhesive.
10. For inside of card, cut a piece the striped piece of Pacific Point from the Brights DSP pack 5 ¼ x 2 ¼ and adhere to pocket with snail.
11. Cut a piece of Calypso Coral 4 ½ x 1 ¼, and notch out sides to make banner.  Adhere to center of pocket with snail.
12. Using the Decorative Label Punch, punch out a piece of Whisper White and Pacific Point.  Stamp greeting on White cardstock with Pacific Point (you can do this prior to punching).
13. Cut Pacific Point label in half and layer behind the Whisper White label so that it shows on each side.  
14. Adhere label on top of the Calypso Coral banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals and add rhinestones.

This card may have a lot of steps, but I think it’s still on the simple side.  With the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack, you could choose any color/design you’d like.  I chose the strips and Pacific Point to make the card masculine.  Now I just need to go get a gift card, and I have the perfect gift for my dad!
