Sunburst Sayings
When we decided I would stop working full time to concentrate on my Stampin’ Up! business I was really scared and excited at the same time. For one, coming up with three projects a week seems a lot, but I have to say I have had a lot of fun looking for inspiration and designing projects to share with everyone. I’ve just started, so not many have seen my blog, but I’m looking forward to word spreading and sharing with as many as possible. This week I used the Sunburst Sayings set. I wanted to stick to just one set, but the possibilities are endless if you wanted to combine another set to jazz it up. You could also add/change colors and add bling to really make your card pop. This is the Monday project, this one is super simple with no extra bling, you only need the Sunburst Sayings stamp set, three colors of cardstock and two ink pads. Check back Wednesday and Friday for more ideas with the same stamp set and colors, but I’ve added more to each project for those that want more.
I used the following items available from my store at Stampin’ Up!:
- Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set
- Clear Blocks – D
- Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad
- Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Snail Adhesive
- Whisper White 8 ½ x 11 Thick Cardstock
- Calypso Coral 8 ½ x 11 Cardstock
- Pacific Point 8 ½ x 11 Cardstock
Below are the instructions for this card:
- Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock in half and then fold in half to make the card.
- Stamp using background stamps with Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad to make background on white card.
- Cut a piece of Calypso Coral 5 ½ x 1 ¼ , stamp wavy lines with Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad and adhere to left side of card front with snail adhesive.
- Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock 2” square, stamp greeting with Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad.
- Cut a piece of Pacific Point Cardstock 2 ¼ “ square.
- Adhere two squares with snail and then attach to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I prefer the Whisper White Thick Cardstock, but you can use the regular Whisper White if that is what you prefer. I just think the thicker cardstock just makes the card seem sturdier. Remember to check back on Wednesday for more possibilities.
