Paper Pumpkin Christmas Tree

Paper Pumpkin Christmas Tree

I love decorating the house for Christmas!  A couple years ago our daughter moved out and now has her own Christmas tree, so we decided to just get a small table top tree to make things more manageable.  It's still a lot of fun, I don't pull out all the old ornaments (I actually gave a lot of them to our daughter), so each year I've done something completely different.  Last year I just used red and silver floral decorations, and this year I used the November Paper Pumpkin Kit, Back In Plaid.  It came with 10 stockings and tags.  I didn't follow the directions, I stamped directly onto the stockings and made the tags separate to hang on the tree.  After I got the tree all decorated, I thought how fun would it be to put different surprises in each of the stockings.  On Christmas Eve we have friends over for tamales, so I was thinking the kids could each pick a stocking and be surprised with what is inside.  I could do gift cards to different places or just cash and candy.  The ideas are really endless, I'm looking forward to everyone's reactions to the surprises.

The October and November Paper Pumpkin kits were so popular that Stampin' Up! was unable to do refill kits.  And the October kit, Pining for Plaid, was cute shaker cards.  Each month I'm surprised by the kit, and I have loved them all.  I highly recommend the monthly subscription to make sure you get all the wonderful surprises.  The kits are $19.95 + tax each month.  In your first box you get a clear block for mounting the clear stamps.  Each kit has everything you need, a stamp set, ink spots and all the cardstock, envelopes, embellishments, ribbon, adhesive, etc. required for that kit.  You also get full instructions and you can go online to watch a how to video.  You'll reuse the clear block for each kit you receive and you'll also need a pair of scissors.  I honestly think it's the best monthly kit out there.  All it takes is $19.95 + tax, scissors and a couple of hours a month and you will have fun making beautiful cards or gifts for your loved ones.  You don't have to tell them how easy it all is.

Just click on the Paper Pumpkin link and sign up today, your first kit is on its way!
